Dubai Health Authority Selects Nabed as a Key Partner in World Diabetes Day
World Diabetes Day is marked every year on 14 November. This year, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) focused on the importance of technology in providing healthcare to diabetic patients. In this context, DHA selected international companies to take part in “World Diabetes Day- Advances in Diabetes” event, which was held in Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA), Emirates Towers.
Nabed has been select, among many leading technology providers for treating and managing diabetes. Nabed presented its digital ecosystem that allows health care providers to spread awareness among their patients.
This innovative ecosystem has several interactive services that accompany the patient from the moment they enter the clinic and even after their visit. Including an educational TV broadcast and tablets in the waiting room and other state-of the art tools that provide specialized and credible health education messages to diabetic patients.
During this event, Senior DHA officials including Dr Younis Kazim, CEO of Dubai Healthcare Corporation (DHC) and Dr Ahmad Bin Kalban, CEO of the Specialised Healthcare Services Sector, met with the companies at DFA, to discuss the use of latest technologies in diabetes management.
Finally, the Authority emphasized the importance of technology in improving the health care sector, and how it empowers patients to reach the best healthcare outcomes.
Nabed, a healthcare innovation company focused on supporting patients and healthcare providers at the point of care, launches the largest educational video library in both, English and Arabic languages. This library, which is the first of its kind in the Arab world, is the result of 5 years of continuous work aimed to provide visual materials that accompany patients step by step throughout their journey.

The Middle Eastern and North African region has the second highest rate of increase in diabetes globally, and the number of people with diabetes projected to increase by 96.2% in 2035. In this context, the National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Genetics in Jordan, has collaborated with Nabed, to raise patients’ awareness and to guide them towards taking well-informed decisions regarding their medical condition.
